I already wrote about Castro’s fashion show being an event everyone dresses up to. The direction is a cool, trendy outfits, more than evening attire, of course – given the fact the event is at 10 am, after all. Having said that, plenty of people still showed up in sparkly, evening-appropriate looks, which is not exactly my thing at this time of day.
You already know I prefer strong, bold colors – this time I choose cobalt blue. This shirt, featuring cut-outs allowing a playful sneak-peak of skin, was pretty and special enough to serve my purpose that day.
Also, as you may already know, I begin with a “key” item and add on other pieces as I go. A combination of black and cobalt blue creates a desired drama effect, and this is what I was going for – so, I teamed p the shirt with leather shorts and black tights, leg warmers and ankle boots. I added a black, knitted collar in a texture similar to the legwarmers. The collar created a turtleneck effect and accentuated my face.
Since the neck was covered, I pulled my hair up to ‘open’ my face, and added red lipstick for a festive, feminine kick. Dark sunglasses – and here I am, ready for a glamorous event of the local fashion industry. Oh, and of course – a little classy black bag, not too small and fit for a couple of things I need, and I can carry this look on to the rest of my day.
Have a wonderful weekend!
